The lake water level will be lowered by approximately four (4) feet as of October 17, 2024, and roughly maintained at that level until October 31, 2024, for purposes of providing leaseholders with an opportunity to perform dock and/or shoreline wall/bank maintenance work during that timeframe. Any such work may require advance Architectural Review Committee review and approval, and any such work cannot include any digging or other disturbance of the lakebed area beyond shallow digging for placement of dock footings. The lake level has not been lowered for this purpose for several years, and it may be another several years before the lake level is lowered again.

At this year’s annual meeting members were informed that Langdon Lake Association is in the process of applying for a permit to lower the lake levels in October. The objective was to allow Leaseholders with lake access opportunity to clean up their shores, make repairs to their docks, and other lake side maintenance. Due to the lengthy application process, and the limited amount time it would allow Leaseholders to submit requests to the Architectural Review Committee, the Board has decided to postpone lowering the lake to next year.
