The Langdon Lake Association has obtained access to a “Text Messaging” program, TEXTEDLY, as was recommended by several members at the August 2018 annual homeowners’ meeting.
Research indicates text messages have a 98% read rate compared to a 20% read rate for emails. This should be a more effective way to communicate with homeowners, especially while at the lake. Text messages will be for quick updates. Texts will be sent with “No Reply” response. Homeowners will be directed to the website for more detailed information.
Types of information that could be communicated include:
– Changes in fire danger levels/open fire restrictions
– Rules updates from the Board of Directors
– Updates on lake treatments or fish stocking
– Association meeting notices
– Emergency information
To sign up and participate in the TEXTEDLY Text Message program:
On your cell go to new message, text to: 77222, type in the word Langdon and press send. For those already signed up for the texting program, you do not need to do anything.
You will receive a “welcome page” requesting additional information. To register, all required information must be completed and sent immediately at that time.
